A summer’s dream come true
I visited MÀ two days after they opened their doors, and have gone back as soon as I had the chance. It is a small bistro with a handful of tables, a simple, changing menu with dishes cooked with love. The bistro was created by a team of young people sharing the same desire to create a space that did not yet exist, a space that brings together memories and travels.
[su_quote]MÀ was born in the summer, right at the beginning, and until mid-autumn, it was ready. It was first born as a thought, then it grew and became a small bistro. Probably the smallest bistro in town.[/su_quote] 
The concept is simple: it’s not a restaurant, but rather a visit to some dear friends. The bistro has a tiny, open kitchen and an ever-changing menu that challenges the creative (and logistic) skills of the staff.
[su_quote]Our guests can keep their elbows on the table when they eat, and there’s more: legend says (because there’s already a legend), that at MÀ you will find the only sandwich you can eat with a knife and fork. Of course, the staff will judge you, but we presume you’ve already assumed that.[/su_quote]
Your loving neighbourhood bistro
MÀ is open every day apart from Mondays, from 9AM until 9PM. The menu changes every two weeks, and is inspired by the experiences the three cooks have had, each of them bringing their identity and story that is unique to their own life and taste. On their short but nicely built menu, you will be able to find something to eat any time of the day. Parisian bistros inspired the dinner concept, with people stopping for a delicious meal right after work, on their way home.

MÀ is more than all of the above. They provide coffee from one of Bucharest’s best specialty coffee shops – their next-door neighbours, and bread from a local artisanal bakery, and will always treat you with free water. They are your true, honest, loving neighbourhood bistro.
[su_quote]We unanimously believe that water should be on the house. Similar to when you receive a glass of water with your espresso, we find it absolutely normal to receive free water at the table. It is frustrating to pay a third of your dish on a small bottle of water. As a matter of fact, it is frustrating to pay for water, word.[/su_quote]
Beauty, comfort and nostalgia
Designed by Laura Paraschiv, owner of bri-à-brac shop, Circa 1703-3071, MÀ will remind you of that cosy living room of your aunt’s, with old-school, thick glass lamps, an oil painting of a landscape, a couple of books and magazines stacked on top of each other, old china and framed embroidery. The space takes you on a journey thorough childhood memories, those hart-warming memories around the people you loved the most.

Where they listen to good music and where they can contemplate, keeping their phone away, the rose on the cupboard, the oil-painted landscape or the bowl of quince.[/su_quote]
