This is a super quick to put together Japanese Wasabi Mayo with pieces of nori will raise the bar for any burger or portion of fries.
To get the best out of this recipe, I strongly recommend you use kewpie mayo, which is traditionally Japanese. You can make it at home following this recipe, or simply buy it at your local Asian store. If you’re in a rush and don’t have time to make it and can’t find it in a store, you can, of course, use normal mayo – it will still be very tasty!
I have to admit I dislike writing such short blog posts, but this is the first of three different posts in which I closely document the recipes I used to make Japanese style burgers at my first garden barbecue fest this summer.
Enjoy, and stay tuned for the following: chilli and lime sauce (easy recipe and great for any grilled meat) and this very, very tasty Japanese burger which will follow shortly.
The recipe

Simply mix all ingredients together and let sit in the fridge for 5-10 minutes before serving – this way the flavours get properly mixed in.
