This is a super easy salsa verde recipe, based around a bunch of simple ingredients. It takes less than 5 minutes to prepare, and it is a great accompaniment to nachos or anything that you might need dips or sauces for. I particularly love adding it so salmon and baking everything for 20 minutes – it gives the salmon such a nice and refreshing flavour!
- 1 can of tomatillos, drained (250g)
- Juice from 1 small lime
- 1/2 red onion, chopped very finely
- 2 tbsp pickled jalapeños
- 1 large handful of coriander
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- a pinch of ground chipotle
- a pinch of black pepper
- a pinch of salt
Ok this could literally not have been easier. Add all ingredients to a blender or a food processor and blitz until you obtain a paste. Don’t overdo it – it’s quite nice to have some small bits in the texture of the sauce. Tadam!
